With the winter storm rolling in, grocery stores are preparing to help people stock up their pantries in time for the cold. Many times, businesses can feel overwhelmed during a major weather event.
However, Homeland’s store manager says they are much more prepared this time around. “The storm that hit us last year, we didn’t have as much notice as we had this year. For this one, you know they started talking about this storm five, six, seven, eight days ago, so we’ve had a lot of time to plan and get with our vendors and get with our suppliers and kind of beef everything up.”
Schlueter says they do still expect products like bread, milk, and other core items to go quickly throughout this week. As the drop in temperatures approaches, don’t forget to get your grocery shopping done sooner rather than later.
