Vaping Debate Makes Its Way to Campus

Public Health Discussion is an organization on campus that is aiming to raise awareness of various public health issues. The most recent discussion had a very hot topic: e-cigarettes.

Dr. Marshall Cheney and Dr. Page Dobbs met with the organization to discuss their findings from studying this harmful device, and their search to find a solution.

“We have tried as a community to regulate or educate students about vaping,” says OU student Anshule Takyar. “It has been very difficult because no one wants to listen to someone lecturing them about vaping or how it could be dangerous to you.”

The doctors know this will take time to reach students with this important message, but they are working on more ways to breakthrough.
