The University of Oklahoma Counseling Center has a new program teaching students certain coping skills for stress and consistent bad moods.
The “Feel Better Fast” workshops will focus on five different coping skills ranging from mindfulness… Regulating your emotions… And conflict resolution.
One OU student ranks her main causes of stress and explains how this program could help:
“School. Just grades in general. Assignments, tests and then I would probably say in second place is probably just social life and like managing all of that.” Says Freshman Emily Clement. “We can take all of that energy that we’re putting towards being stressed, and learn how to manage it and put that energy into something that can be productive.”
