Student Legal Services offers free legal advice and referrals, but there’s only one problem: No one knows about it.
Atop the third floor might be the opportunity you need after a long Thursday night. Since it’s inception in 2016, lone wolf Tracey Langford works to offer guidance to students in need.
“Just talk with students and help them identify if in fact you do have a legal issue. If so, what kind of legal issue it is and then if it’s something I do have experience in, I could explain to them kind of the landscape of what they can expect to happen in their situation. If it’s not something I have experience in, I help them find a local attorney that they can talk to.” – Tracey Langford, Director of Student services program
Langford’s jurisdiction, however cannot help students pursue legal action against another or getting a public intoxication on Campus Corner.
