Today marks the 7th annual National Voter Registration Day, and since it began in 2012, it has allowed thousands of people to register to vote in many different places all over the U.S.
“This is important because everyone has a voice,” says Destinee Dickson, Political Science Senior. “If you are able to register to vote, please come out and come get registered so you are able to vote in the primary and general election here in the up-and-coming 2020 election and further beyond.”
Students must be 18-years-old prior to election day, be a U.S. Citizen and have a valid ID or social security number.
You may also register to vote tonight inside of the OU Bizzell Memorial Library in Room LL18 from 7:30 to 9:30 pm.
