An Oklahoma high school football player collapsed on the field during a game and was rushed to the hospital this past Friday evening.
Peter Webb of Southwest Covenant was unable to be treated by doctors after they discovered his brain was too swollen. He was unconscious while in the hospital.
“Stacy, Jack, Sam, Ben, Hank and I have been over whelmed by the love shown to our family since peter went down Friday night,” says his family in a statement Sunday. “Our hearts are terribly broken, but our god is the god of all comfort, and we rest in his love, power, and grace”
Peter played football with his brother, Ben, who was the quarterback for Southwest Covenant.
