Medieval Fair Continues Despite Stormy Forecast

Norman’s 43rd annual Medieval Fair is this weekend in Reaves Park. While storms are predicted on Saturday, the fair will continue as it has in years past.

“Well it can be hard,” says Bill Pierce, owner of Good Time Toys.  “I’ve seen it blown down three or four times… flattened. Of course last year it was 24 degrees Saturday morning and everything was covered with a quarter inch of ice. But I’ve been out here when it was 93 degrees and flat calm, and we’ve been out here in dust storms.”

Vendors like Bill Pierce have been doing this for over 20 years, and when asked if they are prepared for the weather, they responded, “We are prepared for everything.”
