New Medical Marijuana Bill Passes Senate and is Now Headed to Gov. Stitt

Today the Senate voted 43 to 5 on the new medical marijuana bill known as the “Unity Bill.”

It is now headed to Governor Kevin Stitt.

The bill includes guidelines for inventory testing and tracking, advertising, packaging and labeling, and other things.

The law would also allow employers to fire medical marijuana users in certain jobs including firefighters, workers who carry firearms and those who drive vehicles or operate heavy machinery.
