New studies in the journal Nature Medicine have shown a simple blood test could let you know whether you will develop Alzheimer’s disease, sixteen years before symptoms begin.
The test measures changes in the levels of a protein in the blood. Researchers believe a rise in protein levels could be a sign of the disease.
The study is still on-going, but 243 participants were already found to have increasing levels of protein; so far, 13 have developed the disease.
