President Donald Trump Fires Attorney General

President Donald Trump has fired Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

In a letter to White House Chief of Staff, John Kelly, Sessions wrote, “at your request I am submitting my resignation.”

After criticism from the president, Sessions lasted less than two years in the job.

Much of the criticism came after Sessions’ decision last year to rescue himself from the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
