OU Day of the Dead Street Fest Held Hundreds

Lloyd Noble was full of colors and culture yesterday as a special event was held over the weekend.

The OU Hispanic Student Association and University of Oklahoma Student Life hosted their Day of the Dead street festival Sunday. The festival featured food, vendors and a large variety of entertainment. Participants and vendors alike say they enjoy being a part of the culture each year.

“I’m from New Mexico so most Mexican culture hits home with me,” says Ashley Leblanc, Day of the Dead Fest vendor. “I’ve got tons of family and stuff so I love this event, and OU has been very great about providing a lot of excellent events.”

The event brought hundreds of people from Norman and the surrounding areas for the celebration.
