The OU Undergraduate Student Congress passed a resolution calling for the sale of alcohol at the Gaylord Memorial Stadium on Tuesday.
Secretary Richard Holt thinks the implementation of alcohol in the stadium would have a positive impact on game days in Norman.
“I think we’re all generally under the impression that people drink before they go to games. People drink at games, maybe they smuggle in stuff. And I think that if we make it a little more controlled, make it a little safer for people, which I think this intends to do, game days will be a lot better.”
The bill passed by a vote of 25 to 3 with two members abstaining. It will now go to the graduate student congress and OU administration for approval.
