According to an E-Marketer Report, Amazon is expected to be the third biggest ad platform in the U.S. by the end of this year.
The report says more people are starting their product search on Amazon instead of internet search engines. That means Amazon can get more money for advertising on its site.
The online retailer is expected to move ahead of Microsoft and Oath, which is the
Verizon subsidiary that owns Yahoo and AOL.
Amazon will still fall behind Google and Facebook by quite a bit. Combined the
two control nearly 58 percent of the market.
