On the Norman campus, the Cross Neighborhood headache continues to plague students. One month after school has started, many of the promised perks and amenities of the Cross Neighborhood remain absent. As amenities and restaurants continue to be delayed, Cross residents remain hopeful.
Cross resident James Martindale shared his thoughts on moving to somewhere else on campus.
“I don’t know if anyone’s actually tried it yet, because we’re all kind of freaked out and also because Cross, if it’s finished, it will probably be a nice place to live assuming it works and stuff. We believe in it, we want to see it finished, we want to see it great but we’re not getting it and we would like some compensation to accommodate for that.”
Residents of Cross have started taking signatures for a petition that will be sent to OU and management company Balfour Beatty. OU Nightly will have more on the petition later this week.
