Oklahoma’s Senior OU Senator has been named chairman of the powerful Senate Armed Services Committee following the death of Arizona Senator John McCain.
OU Nightly’s Storme Jones reports the latest on Senator Jim Inhofe’s new position.
“Inhofe is the first Oklahoma senator to chair the committee tasked with overseeing the US military. He has been filling in as chair for McCain since December.”
This chairmanship could mean good things for Oklahoma. Inhofe says he’ll continue to look after the state’s five military installations.
