It may be a cloudy day outside, but the vendors and staff of the Cleveland County Free Fair are gearing up for a big opening day.
Located at the corner of Porter and Robinson, the county fair runs through this weekend and offers some unique fun right here in Norman.
Community members from Cleveland County and surrounding areas can expect tons of good food, fun rides, competitions and a petting zoo featuring all kinds of farm animals.
Richard Peters, Fair Board President, is excited to get families out and see the hard work they have put in for Norman.
“A lot of people come in and they say, ‘we didn’t even know we had a county fair, and it’s free.’ We go out here, we put it together and it’s something for the whole community. It brings people into the community; brings revenue in.”
Admission is free, parking is free and the fun kicks off this afternoon! Below is this year’s schedule of events.
