OU Bookstore to Make Controversial Move

An announcement this week is causing a lot of controversy. The campus bookstore is moving out of its location at the end of this semester, catching a lot of students off guard.

OU’s bookstore is serving out its final semester in its current location. The bookstore announced this week that it has plans to re-open in January on Campus Corner, a move that has left students confused.

OU Student Chris Foster tells why he isn’t happy about the move.

“It’s quite a walk. I probably wouldn’t make it most of the time. I would probably order my books online if I had to walk that far. So, I don’t know how I feel about that move.”

Assign in the old CVS location on Campus Corner indicates the bookstore’s intentions to move in once their current lease is up in December.

Officials say they are considering making their new location an apparel only store.
