After coming off an incredible win over Baylor the Sooners are preparing to take on TCU Saturday.
The OU defense is preparing to go up against the Horned Frogs who are ranked third nationally in total offense.
However QB Treyvone Boykin isn’t fully healthy after hurting his ankle against Kansas and OU cornerback Jordan Thomas had no issues covering Baylor RB Corey Coleman last weekend.
The defense is looking to have another successful game this weekend and don’t want to over look TCU.
Amid all of the Heisman talk, QB Baker Mayfield garnered another spot on yet another award watch list yesterday.
Mayfield was one of 15 players to watch for the 2015 Walter Camp Player of the Year award. The award is given annually to the most outstanding player of the year.
Head Coach Bob Stoops and starting QB Baker Mayfield are on the same page, the Sooners are able to win this weekend and continue to play as they have been able to.
But, Stoops said, the Sooners have put themselves in a position to be a top four team only if Oklahoma wins this weekend.
Mayfield said his team has been able to play both sides of the ball well. He said with the way the team is playing he doesn’t see why his team wouldn’t be recognized for its hard work.
The Sooners host TCU this Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7:00 P.M. Oklahoma fell to the Horned Frogs last season in Ft. Worth in the final minutes of the fourth quarter, the score was 37-33.
