The Oklahoma Sooners’ success on the field not only has them playing football, but politics as well.
The Sooner team will need to keep it’s winning streak alive while increasing their profile with the playoff selection committee along the way.
Head Coach Bob Stoops said the team has done all it can do to play as well as possible. Stoops said Monday if the team continues to play as it has in weeks past, and play this well this weekend, there is no reason for the team not to be recognized.
QB Baker Mayfield said the team is playing very well right now. Although there are two tough teams ahead, Mayfield said if the Sooners keep playing like they are, “there is no reason not to be considered”.
The Sooners host TCU this Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. Oklahoma lost its last face-off against the Horned Frogs last year in Ft. Worth, the final score was 33-37.
