The Sooners are welcoming CB Zack Sanchez back this week after suffering an injury against Texas Tech a couple weekends ago.
Defensive Coordinator Mike Stoops said the Sooners would not put the starting cornerback back in the game without being 100 percent, especially against the Bears.
The red shirt junior’s teammates are ready for their “alpha” to get back on the field. Safety Steven Parker said Sanchez is their leader, he is the man in charge and the rest follow his orders.
Cornerback Jordan Thomas said it was tough to see his teammate miss games. But Thomas said Sanchez hasn’t missed a beat yet, even sitting out for the past three games.
Oklahoma travels to Waco this Saturday for face-off against the powerhouse, undefeated Baylor Bears. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
ESPN College Game Day will be there to join the festivities.
