OU’s defense will be facing their toughest challenge yet this season going up against the Baylor offense.
True freshman QB Jarrett Stidham had a good game last week against Kansas State taking Seth Russell’s spot after a neck injury. But the real challenge for the Sooner secondary will be covering wide receiver Corey Coleman.
However OU has the number one defense in the Big 12 and has prepared all weekend for this Saturday.
Defensive Coordinator Mike Stoops says it may look simple but it is going to be “very complicated”. Stoops says the Baylor offense has answers for just about any play.
Defensive End Charles Tapper says the defense is going to have to get the Bears in a predictable situation. Tapper says the defense has been able to do that with every other team in the country this season. The defensive end says the defense is not going to be able to let the play progress or sit back, because those are going to be key points to apply the pressure to true freshman QB Jarrett Stidham.
