Defensive Coordinator Mike Stoops and fellow Sooners spoke throughout the week about the role the defense is going to need to play in order to make a big impact against the Cyclones on Saturday.
Stoops said limiting big plays is going to be key for the defense which they have been able to do in past games.
Cornerback Jordan Thomas said the defense has had great communication during games, and the members of the D-Line are on the same page. Thomas said coverage busts are something to avoid, since the goal is to take care of the job but not playing the entire field.
Safety Steven Parker said eliminating the big play is the goal of the game to keep momentum.
