QB Baker Mayfield said his teammate, tight end Mark Andrews is a red-zone threat for Oklahoma this season because he can run like a receiver but has size on his side.

Andrews thanks his coaches and his teammates for the opportunities to play a vital role for the team during game time.

He also mentions he is confident in his ability on the field.

Head Coach Bob Stoops said Andrews is being used in a variety of ways this season.

Andrews said he is grateful for his opportunities that have been presented to him during the season. Andrews has five touchdowns this season with ten catches.

The use of a tight end is a new strategy for the Sooners, since Andrews is one of the strongest TE’s Oklahoma has seen in recent years.

The Sooners travel to Lawrence this weekend to face the Jayhawks. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.

Head Coach Bob Stoops is 10-0 when facing the Jayhawks.
