Coach Bob Stoops spent some time during Monday’s press conference addressing the eight hours the Sooners spent on board the plane, but still at Will Rogers Airport.

The key to keeping the Sooners calm is to keep them full. The team was able to have fun and enjoy “their fellowship” as Stoops put it.

The Sooners stayed positive and went onto Manhattan to shut out the Wildcats, 55-0.

Oklahoma meets the Texas Tech Red Raiders this Saturday in Norman for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff. The Sooners traveled to Lubbock last season and defeated the Raiders 42-30. This will be the first season QB Mayfield will be on the Sooner side of the game in Norman, as he transferred after his freshman year at Texas Tech.

This will be a good test for the Sooners as Texas Tech has been able to hold their own throughout the season.
