As the Sooners prepare for Texas Tech this homecoming Saturday, they would do well to remember a few things from last week’s shutout win in Manhattan.

The Sooners came out in the opening drive, playing fast and loose. The opening drive was a five-play 75-yard thing of beauty that took just a minute and four seconds off the clock.

QB Baker Mayfield completed three of three on the drive hitting Sterling Shepard, Dede Westbrook and back to Shepard for a 22-yard score. It was by far the Sooners most impressive start this season.

Oklahoma hosts Texas Tech this Saturday for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff. The Sooners traveled to Lubbock last season to defeat the Red Raiders 42-30. This will be the first time QB Baker Mayfield will face his former team in Norman.
