The Sooners destroyed the Kansas State Wildcats this past weekend. A huge bounce back game from Oklahoma’s matchup against Texas. OU started fast and never let up, even though the airport put a damper on their travel plans.
The first drive of the game QB Baker Mayfield finds WR Sterling Shepard on an out route and Shepard makes one guy miss and runs in the end zone for the Sooners first score. The first drive took 1:04 for the initial Sooner score.
Then Mayfield who had five scoring tosses finds Dede Westbrook with a nice touchdown pass in the corner of the end zone to make it 28-0.
To make matters worse, to start the second half the Kansas State backup QB Kody Cook throw it right to Zack Sanchez for the pick six. Sooners took home the win, 55-0.
Oklahoma meets Texas Tech on Owen Field this Saturday for 2:30 p.m. kickoff. The Sooners traveled to Lubbock last season, to win 42-30. This will be the first time QB Mayfield will see Texas Tech in Norman after transferring his freshman year.
