Head Coach Bob Stoops spoke Monday at the weekly press conference about the Sooners disappointing loss in Dallas last weekend to the Longhorns, but we are onto Kansas State this weekend.

Against Texas, the Sooners were too inconsistent. Oklahoma missed three to four sacks during Texas’ first scoring drive, and five games into the season these mistakes are not usual. A team sees these mistakes during the first games of the season, just not this late in the season.

While the Sooners can look back, Stoops is looking forward. Kansas State is in the same positions as the Sooners, with a loss last weekend. While the Sooners lost to Texas, the Wildcats trailed TCU at the end of the fourth quarter finishing the game 52-45.

Before the Horned Frogs slid past Kansas State, Oklahoma State and Kansas State battled it out until the fourth quarter with the Cowboys pulling ahead, 36-34. Stoops said the Wildcats are a good time, and Coach Snyder has always had a physical team. Stoops said improvements are to be made and the Sooners are going to need to play their best.

The Sooners travel to Manhattan for a Saturday kickoff at 2:30 p.m. The Wildcats traveled to Norman last season to slide past the Sooners, 31-30. The Sooners have managed to win games against Kansas State in this position after a loss in 2011 and 2013.
