The Sooners could not get a hold of Texas QB Jerrod Heard last weekend after he racked up 186 total yards. Texas Head Coach Charlie Strong’s defense harassed QB Baker Mayfield when the offensive line could not hold them back.
The Sooners are looking to get back on track tomorrow against Kansas State. The Wildcats are currently 0-2 in conference play, losing to TCU and OSU.
TCU slid past in the fourth quarter, 52-45. Oklahoma State trailed on and off during their matchup against the Wildcats, finishing the game with a Cowboys win, 36-34.
The Sooners travel to Manhattan Saturday for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff. Kansas State traveled to Norman last season, sliding past with a win at home for the Sooners 31-30.
The Sooners have rallied after losses to beat Kansas State in previous years such as 2011 and 2013. Oklahoma will use this game to produce motivation for the rest of the season. The Wildcats put up good fights against top Big 12 contenders, and could be a good test for the rest of the season for the Sooners.
