Sooners Charles Tapper, Jordan Evans, Jordan Thomas and Dominique Alexander are getting down to the nitty gritty as the players are ready for a strong, physical game against the Kansas State Wildcats.
Defensive Coordinator Mike Stoops said he knows Coach Snyder of Kansas State keeps his offensive fresh from week to week, a variation to keep the game new for each team. It is going to be about accounting for the quarterback better.
Defensive End Charles Tapper is hoping for the Big 3 to be able to make big plays this weekend.
Linebacker Jordan Evans knows Coach Snyder of Kansas State keeps the game physical, and he knows the Sooners are going to have to give that right back to Kansas State in order to take home the win.
Linebacker Dominique Alexander said he knows the Wildcats will play the same run game as Texas did. It will be a chance for the Sooners to show they can do it, too.
Cornerback Jordan Thomas said he will be cautious of K-State’s QB, as it is going to be important to respect his running and passing game.
The Sooners travel to Manhattan this Saturday for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff. The Wildcats traveled to Norman last season and slid past with the win, 31-30. In previous seasons, Oklahoma has used matchups against Kansas State for renewed motivation after coming off a loss. Those seasons under the reign of Bob Stoops were in 2011 and 2013.
