Eric Striker joined Sooner Sports Pad this past week and was asked what he had to do differently this weekend to have such a great outcome. Striker told analysts Haley Hughey and Mason Prince, he gave it his all, but he doesn’t spend time thinking about it on the field.

Striker went on to say later that nine consecutive games, then eight consecutive games as well as Big 12 play put him in a position to be at his best, to prepare differently and to take a little bit of better steps out on the field.

Striker was named Autonation National Defensive Player of the Week Tuesday after his performance against West Virginia. He had a career tying game of 12 tackles and two sacks as well as a forced fumble. Striker increased his number of sacks to 18, which is the most for a linebacker in OU history.
