After a bye week the No. 15 Sooners will take on No. 23 West Virginia this Saturday in both teams first Big 12 game.
Oklahoma is not a stranger to a strong air raid offense, since meeting with Tulsa in Norman two weekends ago. It is more than likely West Virginia will be the true test for the Oklahoma defense.
The Mountaineers have dominated their opponents averaging 543 yards and 41 points per game.
West Virginia’s last game against Maryland QB Skylar Howard completed 21 of 33 passes, and scored 39 points, with a 45-6 win.
Stoops said the Sooners will not take this match up lightly.
