After a bye week, the Sooners are preparing to take on West Virginia, Saturday at 11 a.m. Oklahoma’s new air raid offense has proven beneficial for the team, as the Sooners rank in the top five in the conference in both rushing and passing offense.

However, they’re facing much tougher West Virginia defense this week that ranks first in the league in pass defense and second in total defense. Both the players and coach realize what they will be up against come game time in Norman.

Mayfield believes that this could be the best secondary the team will see for a while, and Ty Darlington will be playing a former high school friend this weekend.

Guard Nila Kasitati thinks it will be good experience for the team, he wants the team to be able to take the advantages they are able to, which he hopes the team will take into perspective.
