Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby revealed there is no immediate concern for the Big 12 conference to expand, emphasizing that teams must play better to earn the respect of the college football playoff committee.
“We need to be in a constant improvement mode. We need to play better, and we need to do what we can to get better in every single way. This year we’ve undertaken some initiatives that I think will help us to get better in ways that are all around the competitive aspects of it,” said Bowlsby.
“What do we have to do? We have to get better. We have to win big games when we have them before us, and we have to demonstrate by competition in the postseason that our conference has led us to be highly competitive at the end of the season,” Bowlsby added.
“We think that full round robin is the right way to determine it. The last four years, the last day of the season, our champion was decided,” said Bowlsby.
